Meeting !

On 9th December 2010, we have learned about an effective meeting. The speaker is an Associated Professor. Is this a interesting topic? Hmm, I think so..How about the talk? Huhu, most of us get bored and feeling so sleepy for this session. Why? Because the way of talk by the Professor not interesting at all. Oh, I'm sorry to say this, but that was the truth. Lets talk about the contents of this session. Do you know what is the main objective of a meeting? Of course to decide on something by discussion among the related member. So why, most of meeting held was not get the final decision and take a very long time. Some of meeting take about five hours even more. Do you know it ?! A meeting that take a very long time is not an effective meeting ! So what must we know about a meeting? 

          First of all is the notice of the meeting. This notice will be prepared by a secretary and it must be included the agenda of the meeting. This notice must be sent 14 days before the date of meeting. The agenda included in that notice is for to make sure anybody who come to the meeting already know what they will discuss about. The notice is sent earlier because to make sure they are prepare for any objections, questions or suggestions that relate to the agenda. 

          We also learn about the chairman, the one who conduct the meeting. As the Professor told as, most of the chairman in Malaysia are talk too much compared to the others. Is it wrong? Of course it is totally wrong ! Chairman should be the person who have less talk in any meeting. Even me myself hate the chairman who talk to much ! It is suck ! Each of the people involve in the meeting should talk only one time for an agenda. This is the right way for a meeting so that we will not waste our time in that meeting.Any topics that are not related in the agenda must not be discussed at all. What else the professor told us? Hmm..He also told us about the task of company secretary. I'm not interested with this topic.

          I think I should add something that not relate to this session. It is about food for afternoon /morning tea break. I do not know whether the food prepared was not enough or some of us take or eat too much without think about the others. It also happened before. I felt so sorry for some person who cannot  take their food for the break. And I also hate the peoples who do not think about others when they having foods. Hope that the management/leader can solve this problem and always remind some of us about this. Sharing is caring !
